Why hello there!

I present

[info]airis_blrev, my personal yaoi and shounen-ai list and review journal.

At the end of each review, I'll be rating the manga title (1-10, 10 being the highest)

The reviews and ratings will be, of course, according to my taste and basis.

well, here's the list:

I'll be updating this soon the moment I arrange the titles in the numerous CDs in my drawer (I hope it'll be sooner than later). I've got TONS MORE of titles to add. Plus, everytime I get a new title, it shall be added here.

Signal
by Hidaka Shouko
1 Volume. Complete.

Summary: (From Attractive Fascinante)
The special cocktail that can only be ordered once a month, is the code to be able to spend a night with the owner of the pub, Ashihara. Introduced to Ashihara by his senpai in his company, Murakami is totally obsessed with Ashihara. How long can he withstand the torture of being one among many others?

I like the tension and the awkwardness between the characters. The characters are lovable. Yes, even Murakami's senpai. Also, here's proof that being honest and open to the one you love takes you a long way.

Bitter Sweet Cafe
by Kanbe Akira
Five chapters and an omake

Honda Yuuji is a patisserie. When he was down and lonely, he was 'picked' up by Katsuragi Megumi, a cafe owner. They started living together and when feelings started to develop on Honda's side, problems and people come their way.

It's really a sweet and endearing series. The story's really simple, not really far from your typical yaoi/shounen-ai stuff, but still really cute. Kanbe is a great artist so expect wonderful art. The characters are very loveable - Megumi is a clumsy person who does his best to learn from Honda; Honda is protective of Megumi. My favorite character comes in Yukiya, Megumi's uncle. He's pretty and frank and well, gay (which makes me love him more XD).

Under Grand Hotel
by Sadahiro Mika
Three volumes. Finished.

"I HAD ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THIS!"

Owari Sen was sent to UGH, the biggest underground prison in the world, for killing the husband of his lover. There he met SwordFish, a black man who practically runs things in UGH. In the course of events, Sen had to agree to be taken by Sword for protection. Feelings develop. Relationships are built, destroyed, and built all over again. UGH is a story of love, hatred, jealousy, deception, forgiveness.

After practically falling in love with Mizuki Ja Irarenee, Sadahiro Mika made me fall all over again with her works because of UGH. I have never anticipated the next chapter release of a series like this since...Viewfinder. I love the story, it's really different from all the other stories and plots that I've seen. Sasahiro Mika never failed in making such complex stories. Complex stories, complex characters, complex plot. And she manages to work things out. And by far, UGH is my favorite among her works. Hot prison smex. XD Didn't like the ending that much though; it seemed too rushed. I wouldn't say anything else about the characters, or else I'll only be raving about Sword.
